please help me with xp2000

i need help. i just purchased a xp2000 asus a7v8x mobo, 256mb ddr ram, gf4 mmx440. when it is all put together i start the computer up and it says threw the speakers. system failed cpu test and keeps repeating it. nothing appears on the monitor. have i done something wrong or is my cpu or mobo stuffed?? please help

Reading some posts on the web, it is suggested you reset the bios (jumpers on the motherboard to do this). Other people have had the same issue with your motherboard, and didn't post back afgter this suggestion, suggesting to me that it might work.
Otherwise, do you have a setting on the board for cpu bus? I too am not familiar, but your board is on eof those that supports the new 333 fsb Athlons, correct? In which case, you must have 2 settings, 133mhz and 166mhz probably a jumper near the AGP.
