Phenom II X3 is unlockable to X4?

Specs: Windows Vista Ultima, AMD Athlon X2 4400+
Phenom II X3 710

Mobo: Biostar TA790GX (they said you can use any 790GX + SB700 mobo to unlock)

I dunno guys, what do you think of those pics in the link below?

My biggest question is how stable is that 4th core because AMD disables one core on the X3's.

i think if the cpu was stable with all 4 cores enabled, AMD would have sold it as a quad core cpu.

my advice would be that if you want four cores, look for a CPU marketed as such.

According to Toms Hardware it's legit. You can indeed turn a Phenom II 710 X3 into a Phenom x4.

Here is the question. That 4th core is disabled for a reason or else it would be a Phenom X4 910. I'm wondering what it could be, maybe it won't be able to take higher clock rates as a normal X4.
