Hi, i've been asking about how to upgrade from a Pentium 2 to a Pentium 3 (slot 1) CPU but there is one more thing that i need to know. With the Pentium 2 Slot 1 it is a "Single Edge Contact Cartridge" (SECC) and the Pentium III Slot 1 is a "Single Edge Contact Cartridge 2" (SECC2). Well, the Pentium 2 motherboards with 100mhz bus will take the pentium 3 100mhz bus cpu's, but then there are also 133mhz Pentium 3 cpus, so make sure you buy the right one. You could also buy a celeron, with 100mhz bus, and becuase they ignore the jumper settings on the motherboard, and have their own, you could have an even faster computer if you buy the right celeron. What is the model number of your motherboard?

ok here is the answe to all p3 with 733 and celeron i cant see alot people asking what is the max clock on the my vrother have p3 733 and i oveclock it o 909 mhz the max the system is very stable no crash nathing yust download cpu idle to help lower the heat u dont have to have powerfull heat sink obout 24 dollars should do ok so there is for opple with these kind cpu i have bean testing p3 for obout weak and that is the final test no more no less the difference u ask i major that what i can say fsp in game increas obout 30 to 40 and now people u can play unreal tournament 2003 no prob and the program that i used to oveclock cpu fsb is called cpu fsb download it iff dont know how to do it in bios if u have more quaestio obout what speed u can get on ur cpu look me up i can helpp u good luck yall
