hey i just got an old pc from school given to me. schools make computers really crap for some reason. lol its a pentium 3 SL5DV, 1 ghz.. i know that its better than the school allows it to be. But is it any good really? and also im just wondering if there much point in over clocking it? thanks heaps.

It depends on what you'll be using it for, if you only need it for word/internet then it'll do fine.. I quess it doesn't have more then 256mbs of ram? if so you can add another 256 that'll make some difference, but i dont think overclocking will gain you anything.

I have 2 1ghz computers, and they can run quite well when setup properly. I run win 98 on the pent3 and cel, and on 98 they are almost as capable as my newer computers running xp.
