I built my PC and was messing with CPU frequency in Bios after rebooting my unit the computer would not startup. I tried to reset the CMOS but that didn't help. I have since replaced my Motherboard an Processor but still have the problem. The PC turnd on all fans and leds work with no video display.

Maybe trying to overclock unsuccessfully has taken out your graphics card. Does that show any signs of activity?

You certainly didn't burnout your board or CPU by overclocking them, so replacing them was a waste of time & money. If anything, you went too far with the overclock & simply made your system unbootable. When you reset the BIOS (ClearCMOS), the power cord MUST be unplugged or the BIOS will not reset.

Did you benchtest the new board before installing it in the case? Try removing all the cards except video & disconnect all your drives (ribbon cables & power cables). See if you can boot & get into the BIOS. If the new board is different from the 1st, you're probably gonna have to do a "repair install" of Win2K

Well I had this happen to me once, but i didn't overclock anything my problem was with a cheap psu. The fans would kick on but that was all. Later I found out there was a short in the 20 pin psu power connection to the board.

If clearing the CMOS in on the motehrboard doesn't work then maybe something is up with your psu.

Ha,

Thanks for all your ideas on this problem I greatly appreciate it. I haven't had time to work on my box this week so when I can I'll put another message up. If the Ram is bad would it also keep the BIOS from starting.
