My computer makes a beeping sound like an ambulance. Its a low beep high beep low beep high beep sound there very short. Last thing I did was resetting the cmos jumper. The pc still comes on and runs fine. The sound comes though all my speakers. it is a real nuisance. I had taken all my other components out and put them back in. my mother board is an Abit. Any help would be great.

I have an AOpen mobo with a P4, 2.6 GB (800 FSB) CPU. When I first build this PC, I heard the same kind of "ambulance" beeping. In my case, it was the mobo's high temperature warning going off. Turns out there is a flaw in the board's sensor system, and AOpen recommends disabling "CPU warning temp" in the BIOS.

It's not a tumor. Ambulance is usually caused by faulty CPU fan, improperly seated CPU heatsink. Or not plugged in right fan on mobo.

Check the abit forums.
