Topic...I've been reading about Pent's underclocking themselves when they sense overheat and how that process locks games and 3d pictures up, well I've been having my pent lock up on me. Wandering if there was anyway to keep it underclocked at 1.8 or to turn the auto underclocking thing off. Any ideas? Thanks in advance :D

I say mostly due to: O/S or program installation issues, or memory timing, or hardware conflicts if you use stock HSF and unlikely heat related.

The only time I am convinced the throttle down really happened is if your room temp is 95 degrees F and over.

Another example will be in class room setting where over 30 PCs'(Dell) sitting close to each other because Dell does not offer any side panl vents.

Well, I use a stock HSF and never had problems when mine was down at 1.8 but I wanted power...so I clocked it up to what ti was sposed to be, than it started lockin O_o.

No idea what you are trying to ask or say.
1)If you overclocked a 1.8 to 2.4, you desire to having the problem without paying attention to the temp. You are not clocking any down by running at stock speed.
2)Totally lost to your statement "what ti sposed to be". If it is the video card, it has nothing to do with your CPU.

Woah, Typo city sorry, what I mean to say was when I had it installed it was at 1.8ghz (It's a 2.4) but I wanted it to be 2.4 so I moved it up, THATS when it started locking up on me, and I've tried 3 different video cards. Anyway to underclock it to 1.8 at least it wouldn't lock up then...
