P4 fan to an AMD XP2600+? Works?

hi, i build än new computer, it's an amd xp2600+. but know i se that i have an P4 fan! the fan works with an P4-3 GHz link: http://www.pcbits.dk/shop/productinfo.asp?id=146 and the fan fits on the moderboard (without the cpu, because I don't have the cpu yet) can I use thit fan to this AMD XP2600+ CPU? I don't have som much money, so if this will work it should be very god. :-) tanks, ajla. (if I don't anser in som days it's because I'am not home, but I come home soon)
