The 3.6GHz PD is faster, but are you sure you don't want a newer CPU? The Pentium E5000 and E6000 series CPUs are dirt cheap and a hell of a lot faster.

1st of all, why are you buying an Intel branded board? Intel boards generally have very limited BIOS options meaning the system can never be optimally configured or overclocked. You would be much better off getting a similar board made by ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, etc.

2nd, why would you even consider getting an P4 or Pentium D? They're outdated & never were any good to begin with. You should be getting a Core 2 Duo or Pentium Dual core.
