The P4 "C"s are insanely great overclockers.

I've got a P4 2.8C serving as a Media Center system, and I've got it running at 3.9GHz with a heatsink that's just slightly bigger than the stock Intel model.

So for your buddy's 3.0, I'd say start at 3.4 to be safe, but it'll most likely handle 3.6+

How many times does this have to be said...you cannot fry a P4 by overclocking it! You can overvolt it to death, but you cannot overheat it to death or overclock it to death.

BTW, it's not "ya'll"...it's "all ya'll"

"Remember, "ya'll" is singular, "all ya'll" is plural, and "all ya'll's" is plural possessive."
