i also have a p2, and i can't overclock it.
in the basic input output system (bios) it isn't possible to do. but on my mainboard there is a switcher (4 swichers).
mainboard: gigabyte, GA-686BX, pci-isa bus;
i my user's manual there is a description for overclocking, but "switching" doesn't work
maybe it does work a bit, but at booting, my pc always writes 400 MHz.

(...i'm sorry if i have some mistakes in my text, i'm an austrian).

so... can anybody help my?!?

Unfortunantly with intel PII's you cannot increase the Multiplier, only the FSB (Front Side Bus), 350mhz = 3.5 x 100, i havent found any PII's that will not run at 112mhz FSB and most will run at 124mhz providing the RAM will take it.
Please note that by increasing the FSB this also overclocks AGP,PCI,IDE and most other things inside the PC and may require additional cooling.

Depending how old your motherboard is you should be able to overclock the CPU by either CPU setup in the Bios or by reseting jumpers or Dip switches on the motherboard, the manual should tell you what settings are where and what they do.
P.S only increase FSB a small bit at a time and check how stable it is buy running a good game for 30mins.

Good Luck.

A bit dated, but all the more apt for your circumstances.
