Hi all, I'm having a constant problem that cannot be rectified at all. I have my processor which the seller guarantee's can run as 3200, 2 x DDR400 (as below) and cannot seem to get a stable system without dropping something.

If I run CPU at 200 x 11 x 1.7v, and memory frequency at 100%, the PC will crash giving the Blue screen of death at random. I can run 2500 as 2500 along with mem freq set to 100%, all ok. If I run 2500 as 3200 and mem freq set to 83%, again ok. I just cannot get the PC to run at full overclocked speed without lowering mem freq.

I've been speaking to the seller who says he has many systems which are exact the same as mine and all run 3200 full speed without probs. I’ve also read many a similar PC do the same on here too.

Last check we had narrowed it down to possible unmatched RAM sticks as they was bought at diff times, altho the same brand and spec. This was torn apart today when I tried removing one stick and ran with 512, PC still crashes with 2500 as 3200 and mem freq set to 100% ?!?!

I am totally lost now, and prey for help :-)

AMD XP2500 run as 3200 (200/11/1.7v - 6,3,3,2.5T - mem freq 100% (or most of the time 83%)
Asus A7N8X Deluxe
2 x 512 PC3200 DDR400 (Twinmoss) Bay 1 & 3
Radeon 9800 Pro (Stock settings)
quality 460w PSU and good fan setup

CPU 42/44c, mobo 28/30c at idle, and CPU will rise to 50c after an hours gaming.

If you haven't already done so, try increasing your RAM voltage from 2.5v to 2.7v & see if that helps.

Also, make sure your PCI/AGP speeds are locked at 33/66mhz.

Hi Jam, I've just raised my RAM voltage from 2.6 to 2.7v, but to be honest have tried all 3 positions before inc 2.8v and PC is still unstable.

I didn't see an option to check PCI/AGP speeds in Bios, if that's where it is ?

Oh well, the RAM voltage was just a suggestion.

I'm not familiar with your board's BIOS so I'm not even certain that locking the PCI/AGP is an option...I know it's being included in more BIOS these days though.
