I have a Slot 1 motherboard that supports 133MHz CPUs. I'm currently running a cartridge-format Pentium III 800Mhz processor on it, overclocked to 900MHz using the 150MHz setting in my BIOS.

I'd like to buy a Slotket which would allow me to run a 1266MHz socket-format Pentium III, mainly because it has twice the Cache (my CPU has 256K, the 1266 has 512K). I'm wondering if I'd be able to continue using the 150MHz bus setting with a slotket installed? Do slotkets prohibit bus overclocking?

Your referring to Tualatin CPU's ie. 256K socket 370 celerons and 512K 370 Pentium III's

You first need a tualatin CPU adapter and then the slot 1 to socket 370 adapter in order to run the cpu. The Bios can be another issue.

Yes, there is usually no issue with OCing a slot 1 to 370 adapted CPU.
