Hey guys.
I bought 1gig (2x512mb) pc3200 RAM
I also have a AMD Barton 2800 (333fsb)- the multiplier is locked at 12.5xI seem to be having problems overclocking, I can get it to 190mhz x 12.5 (2363mhz) at 1.175vcore but no higher without causes instability, i.e. PC reboots.
Is there anything I can do? I have tried increasing the vcore but this doesnt seem to help. I have tried increasing the ram's voltage and whenever I do so my PC won't even boot.
Can anyone help me reach 200fsb?

2.5GHz may be a lot to ask without cranking up the vcore quite a bit. You shouldn't have to touch the RAM voltage, it's designed to run at 200MHz, the CPU is not.
I'm sure 1.175 vcore is a typo, because the CPU's default voltage is 1.65v. I think your board's max vcore setting is 1.85v. If it won't boot & run stably at that voltage, I think you're outta luck.

How hot is the CPU?
But I tend to agree you won't make it.
"...but in my defense, it was dark, I was drunk, and it was delicious!"

I enabled SDP in my BIOS and it now goes to 215mhz.
Yeah it was a typo, 1.775vcore.
Thanks anywayRadeon 9800 Pro 128Mb/ 4.12

Hey Stu.B!
I have the same chip, and I have it at 2.2ghz with the stock cooler, (which I remved once and didn't re-apply TP to :S )
I reckon my chip would do 200Mhz fsb with some more serious cooling kit (water maybe?)
I did get it to boot at 185Mhz on air. Not to shabby I don't think. lol
Zee.
