Hi, bear with me this is my 1st post here. I want to overclock a new machine at work. It has a AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition Deneb chip, on a ASUS M4A79T Deluxe board with 8 mb of DDR3 1600 ((12800) SDRAM. I also upgraded fan to a Zalman CNPS9900 120mm 2 ball CPU cooler. The case also has 3 big fans. I want to know what I can safely overclock this unit to & the seetings to use. Processing power is the key but only when its rendering (about 25% of the time). Would it be better to use the turbo or quick button features when needed or overclock it all the time? Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Sorry I did not realize there was an area specifically for overclocking when I posted the first time in the general posts. I also did not see a way to remove a post once it was up, but I honestly didn't spend much time looking.

You should NOT be overclocking a computer that does not belong to you. If your company wanted a faster computer they would have bought one rather than have an inexperienced user start to change setting that you know nothing about
