Comment: Can't seem to get my 2.8C 800 FSB processor to overclock higher than 2.9 it will just restart on me as soon as i start up windows. Can anyone give me some suggestions on numbers i should use for overclocking? Reply: (edit)My guess would be a weak PSU. Check the amperage on the +12v rail...you should have 18A minimum, even more if you have numerous IDE devices & cooling fans. Make sure the extra 4-pin plug is connected to the motherboard

Reply: (edit)I have a P4 2.6c. Mine is overclocked to 3.01 and is quite stable. I have a Thermaltake Silent PurePower 420 w PSU, 512 MB of Mushkin Blue Line, MSI nVIDIA GeForce 5700 (128 MB) graphics card. Not sure why you have hit a bottleneck with your 2.8C. How about other info, e.g., memory timings, BIOS update.

Reply: (edit)What is your core votage setting? My P4 2.6 has a stock setting of 1.575, but I am running mine at 1.675 with no problems.
