Overclocking is not an exact science, it often requires experience, trial & errors and some luck. Not surprisingly, results typically vary from one system to the other depending on other components in the PC.

For starters, you'll need a board that allows you to tune the CPU clock, HT bus/multiplier, voltage, ram timings and also lock the PCI/AGP/PCI-E bus. I figured your board does all that to a good degree.

First thing to do in the BIOS is, set the HT multiplier for your S754 to 3X, knowing that bus link is configured to only function steadily anywhere within the 800MHz (1600MT/s) vicinity and we'll be shooting for ~250MHz clock frequency.

Next you want to disable things like:

0. System BIOS Cacheable
1. Video BIOS Shadow
2. Speed Spectrum

Then you set the PCI/AGP/PCI-E bus locks.

PCI @ 33MHz
AGP @ 66MHZ
PCI-E @ 100MHz

Once you've done all of the above, set the CPU multiplier to 10X or even 10.5X and start cranking up the CPU frequency in 3MHz-5MHz increments.

See how far you can go before the system becomes unstable and at that point raise the voltage a tad.

If you need further help, let us know.

"DRAM:FSB Ratio CPU/20"

Am I wrong or is the RAM only running at 100MHz?

first of all thanks,for helping me!!!
thats the most important for me at least.

anyway i went to my bios,that i had updated a few days ago.

and i found the following:

----#A.I Overclock Tuner# =Manual/Auto-----
(auto doesn't work,it only goes up to 10% of my CPU anyway)
#CPU FSB Frequency# =200->300
#AGP Overclock# 65->75MHz
-----#FID/VID charge# =Manual/Auto-------
#Processor Frequency Multipl.# =4x->10x
#CPU voltage# =1.375->1.750V
#DDRRAM Voltage# =Auto/2.5->2.8V
#AGP Voltage# =1.5->1.7V

i tried many ways even auto! but every time it says "Overclocking faild enter Bios to change your settings bla..bla..bla.."

you said something about disabling some futures(?)I couldn't find them.
Lets do it step by step and tell me as an example the values that you would enter in the above areas.(By the way i have a 600Watt Power Supply,..just saying :D)

thanks even for reading this :p

I was considering the same motherboard for a cheapie build. Here's a few suggestions:

Jumperfree Config

AI overclock tuner = manual
CPU FSB freq = 250MHz (work you way up to this...raise it 10MHz at a time, testing after each change)
AGP overclock = 66
FID/VID voltage = manual
Process Freq Mult = 10x
CPU voltage = auto (raise only if necessary)
DDR voltage = auto
AGP voltage = 1.5v

CPU Config

Cool n Quiet = disabled
HT ratio = 3

Chipset

Memclock mode = manual
Memclock value = 333
Primary video = AGP
Aperture size = 128MB

I can't do it everything i do ends up to "overclock failure"
AAhhhgggg....

here are the features of my motherboard :

------JumperFree Configureation-------
1. A.I overclock Tuner=manual/auto
2. CPU Frequency=200->300
3. AGP Overclock=65->75
4. FID/VID Change=manual/auto
5. Processor Frequency Multiplier=(4x->10x)
6. CPU Voltage=1.375->1.750V
7. DDR RAM Voltage=2.5->2.7V
8. AGP Voltage=1.5->1.7V

-------Chipset-----------
1. Memclock mode=manual/auto
2. Memclock Value=(200-266-333-400)
3. CAS Latency(CL)=manual/auto
4. DRAM RAS TO CAS Delay=2-3-4-5-6CLK/auto
5. DRAM RAS Prechange Time=auto/3-4-5-6 CLK
6. DRAM ACTIVE Time=auto/5->15CLK
7. 1T/2T=auto
8. Master ECC Enable=disabl/Enabl
9. Audio Codec Interface= irrelevant
10.Primary Video= irrelevant
11.Apenture Size= irrelevant
12.AGP FW Enable=irrelevant
13.AGP SideBAnd=irrelevant

ohhhh at last :p thats all folks the last
efford i make :D,after that i quit i hope someone can enlighten me!!!!
thanks in advance

.........$0.02

A.I Overclock Tuner = Manual
CPU FSB Frequency = 240Mz (Max I predict for you)
AGP Overclock in MHz: 66MHz

FID/VID charge = Manual
Processor Frequency Multiplier = 10x
CPU voltage = 1.650V

DDRRAM Voltag = 2.7V
AGP Voltage = 1.5V
MemClock Mode: Manual

MemClock Value: 400Mhz
Cas Latency (CL): 2
DRAM RAS TO CAS Delay: 2 CLK

DRAM RAS PRECHARGE Time: 2 CLK
DRAM ACTIVE TIME: 5 CLK
1T/2T Timing: 1T

Master ECC: Disabled
AGP FW Enable: Auto

If you have problems with the above try below.

MemClock Value: 333Mhz
Cas Latency (CL): 2.5
DRAM RAS TO CAS Delay: 4 CLK

DRAM RAS PRECHARGE Time: 4 CLK
DRAM ACTIVE TIME: 6 CLK
1T/2T Timing: Auto

BTW, could you be a bit more specific with the brand and rail voltage details on that 600W PSU.

Goodluck!
