Reply: (edit)Have you tried increasing the FSB? what happens when you do? I did a google search for your mobo and found this, amongst many. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/chipsets/display/via-kt880_7.html That must really help you. Post back if you need anything specific. Well, to start with your query itself was vague... Good Luck and Happy Computing, Kailas Shastry,

Reply: (edit)The first thing you need to do is go into your BIOS >> Advanced >> JumperFree Configuration >> AI Overclock Tuner [Standard]....change this to [Manual]. Doing this will reveal the CPU frequency [xxx] option that allows you to manually set the clock, if you also notice right above the AI Overclock Tuner is the CPU Multiple [Auto] option, before you get too excited about the multiplier option you need not forget that you have a locked Athlon XP 3000+. ○ Before you criticize a bigger man, you should walk a mile in his shoes. Reply: (edit)There is no way to unlock the multiplier on your CPU. You can only overclock by raising the FSB. Your RAM is capable of 200mhz (DDR400) or better, so that shouldn't hold you back at all. All you can do is experiment. Try raising the FSB 5mhz or so, save your settings, reboot, & test it out. If all is well at say, 170mhz, try it at 175mhz & see what happens. Eventually you'll run into problems - then you'll have to decide if you wanna add a little more voltage to see if it helps, or just back off to your last stable setting & be content with what you've accomplished. I always test for stability by using a program called TOAST...run it for 30 min & keep a close watch on your CPU temp. If the system doesn't lock up, move on to Prime95 & run that for at least one complete series of tests. If it survives all that, it'll probably be good to go. If it locks up, you'll have to decide whether to raise the voltage a little more, or back off on the FSB a little bit Asus A7N8X-X 2500+ Sempron @ 2100mhz 10.5 x 200mhz @ 1.80v 512mb PC3200 Ti4200/8X 128mb WDC 60GB
