Ok i have a pretty old laptop. I have a 2 good desktops, but im trying to get my laptop to play halflife at a reasonable fps. It has no video card, and its a 333 mhz pentium mmx with 64 megs of ram. I configured everythign in halflife to get more fps, but i still only get about 11 at 400 x 300 resolution. I want to play it at about 20, but I dont want to burn it up. Also, is there a way to fake halflife into thinking I have a video card so I can use Opengl drivers or Direct X? I heard somethign about this would help but I couldnt find any information about it.

those specs are just to low to get better performance like a game like half life. adding more ram might make a little difference but doubt to your satisfaction. I dont know a way of faking the game into thinking your have the opengl drivers because you do need a video card that supports it.
