i have a K7SEM MB (made by ECS) and an XP Athlon 1700+ CPU, and i need help overclocking it further. when i first got it, the FSB was set at 100mhz, causing the CPU to run at 1.1ghz. i set the FSB to 133mhz (the max), which makes the CPU run at the advertised speed of 1.4ghz. can anyone give other suggestions as to other ways of overclocking?

there is no way of overclocking through the bios
SYSTEM BIOS
AMI 2Mb Firmware Hub
Supports Plug and Play 1.0A, AMP 1.2, Multi Boot, DMI Support for ACPI revision 1.0 specification
theres no mention of any sort of overclocking features in the bios spec
the only other thing to do would be unlock the multiplier and increase it. Although this can be tricky and may damage ur cpu u will need good cooling if u try this

ok, so how would i go about unlocking the multiplier?
by 'good cooling', do you mean like a water cooling, or just a lot of fans and heatsinks?

unlocking multiplier will accomplish nothing on that mobo.
ECS and PC Chips mobos aren't made for overclocking
