Ok so here are the issues i've been having

As i type i have it at 10x and 1200fsb =3.0
666.7 ram

if i were to lower the multiplier to 9 and up the fsb to where it would equal 3.0 it will freeze up

the stable condition if i were to have it at 9x would be 2.6ghz. 2.7-2.8 it would freeze 5 mins into windows. 3.0 it wouldn't even post.

the other problem i have is when i use cpu-z and nividia monitor the clock speed goes from 1.8 6x to 3ghz 10x i have no idea why is goes back and forth. and of course windows system properties tells me i have it overclocked at 3.30ghz even if i were to overclock it to 2.4

Since i have it at 3.0ghz using my configuration would it be the same if i were to do it the 9x configuration. and also should i use the sync mode with the fsb and ram? i have it on unlinked and have no ratio settings on.everythig is manual

There are none so ENSLAVED,than those who think they are free when they are not....

"should i use the sync mode with the fsb and ram?"

No, set it to LINKED, then set the DRAM ratio at 1:1.

Leave the RAM timings on AUTO, disable any Spread Spectrum settings, lock the PCI-e at 100MHz, set the CPU multi to 9.0x, set the CPU frequency at 333MHz (1333MHz FSB). And don't be afraid to increase the CPU voltage. Intel lists the range as 0.80v - 1.50v.

And use OCCT to check your CPU clock settings, CPU temp & to stress test the system for stability:

the 10x to 6x issue is an intel feature called C1E. disable it by pressing ctrl+f4 or something like that in a certain screen in ur BIOS(probably the overclocking section or cpu advanced settings section) if it isnt already visible. also ur motherboard is very solid u should be able to get great overclocks with it with very high FSBs. have u tried leaving the multiplier where it is and pushing up with voltage adjustments till u hit a FSB barrier? also the nforce 6 chipsets have FSB holes all over the place look around on some forums regarding ur board and u will figure out those holes.
