Hi, I have an Intel 3.0 and an Asus Motherboard, 2 GB ram etc. I am new to overclocking and have tried a bit my self but have ended up failing everytime so I thought I'd ask the experts.

I used the program that came with Asus which was called AI overclocking or whatever but it didn't do anything. I tried doing 5%, 10% but it didn't work. I tried in Bios a bit but that didn't work either.

What do you guys do to overclock or what is a good reccommened program to use? I would like to overclock to a 3.2 or more but I just have not been successful. If you guys could please give me some pointers and tips that would be awesome, Thanks!

Catch me on AIM if you like and we can talk easier - Novak921

You need to be more specific about your specs. List the model number for your board, which CPU (P4, Celeron, Prescott, etc), RAM, power supply, video card, etc

What is the 12v amperage rating on your 450 watt power supply?

What is the timing on your PC3200?

What is your full load temperature with ur 3.0g Prescott?

going from 3ghz to 3.2ghz is not going to give u any if no performance gains. And iv got a 3ghz prescot core and atm overclocking it to 3.75ghz and trying for more.
And what do you mean it doesnt do anything??
And by going into Bios and adjusting FSB, Vcore, Memory timings, Mem voltages etc etc!
We need to know more about your pc as others have said ill try and contact you on AIM to help you tonight some time.

you said in anothe thread that you have put your FSB up and had achieved an OC of 3.17ghz Yes and that you had Vcore on 1.378v.
What was the FSB??
And try to push the FSB 5mhz higer or 10mhz and push up the Vcore one notch.
if still wont Post. Push Vcore higher if still no luck may need to adjust Chipset Voltages and ram frequency.
Hope this helps. And also your never on AIM so how can we contact you then :)
