How do i over clock a computer? All i can tell you is that i have a Dell dimension xps T600r with a slot 1 PIII processor. I tried to do it through setup but that didn't work. Can anybody shed some light on my problems.

If you want to void the warranty, then you could give it a try! But i don't think you can overclock a Dell actually! overclocking could be done with a customized built PC!

Dell PC's usually doesn't allow FSB/multiplier/voltage changes in the BIOS settings.
Basically, they don't want you to overclock/upgrade, because they want you to have to buy another computer from them if you want something faster.

In fact you CAN overclock a Dell - check out http://www.roberthancock.com/dell/index.htm. Most of this is about upgrading the processor, but there is also something on overclocking at http://www.roberthancock.com/dell/xpstproc.htm.
