Hi Overclockers
Just to share some experience.
I have a Geforce FX 5600 and am reasonbly satified about this video card.
My PC has ASUS A7N8x2.0 board with 512 Samsung 2700 DDR ram and a AMD 2700 processor.
Managed to overclock the processor to 182 FSB with Vcore of 1,80 V(didnīt manage to unlock the processor on this ASUS board) and am satisfied with the result: Sisoft 2004: 8964. According to there comparison even better then Amd 3200.
My videocard produced a fair 10744 in 3dmark2001 which I found out is reasonble .
After I upgraded the NVIDIA Nforce driver from 2.45 to 3.13 and the videodriver from 45.23 to 53.03 the 3dmark results dropped to 7500. I couldn't figure out what was the reason for this and already suspected that I partly blew up my videocard by overclocking it too much although I only used the standard feature to automaticely adjust the speed to overclocking. Finally after just reinstalling both drivers again the specs went up to the original level. To conclude, beware of upgrading the NVIDIA drivers. It is possible that you end up worse then you started.
Mr. T
P.S. After upgrading the Nforce driver windows XP didnīt recognize my modem and tv card anymore and it took me a hell of a time to find out what these odd yellow questionmarks meant.

I have that same prob only my cdrw and dvd drives stop working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It all started when I upgraded my 5200+ drivers

I have some problems with my FX5600 also after upgrade to new drivers. I'm just wondering if the chipset driver 3.13 interferes with video driver 53.03.

He Shawn,
I have the same idea that something is wrong with this combination, especially because 2 of my pci cards were not recognized after upgrading. But then it doesnīt make sense that after the second time the drivers didnīt give any problem anymore to my PC.
Something to do with the upgrade process it sounds and something for NVIDIA to sort out
