Doing a little research here. I am an overclocker at heart and will be upgrading my Barton 2500 in the next month or so. Maybe going SLI, not sure.
Just curious how everyone is doing OCing the FX chips. Now they are out with the 55 that will rip up the better part of a grand. Anyone having any luck pushing a 51 or 53 to 55 spec? I havent had a chance to get my hands on any yet so I thought I would ask.

Why waste your money? Youre specs are more then good enough for enything. Late in 2006 Microsoft will release Windows Longhorn. That would be a good time for upgrades. On tell then I don't see why you would need to upgrade. The slowest componet in a computer is the HD. Get 2 WD Raptors. That will speed up a computer a lot. SLi is just a waste of money right now. It don't even work with most games right now anyways.

Derk You should read up on SLi because your statement is incorrect.
Any game running on SLi has no idea what type of architechure is running it. So therefore SLi is no different than a single GPU system.

Your wrong, I have read up. Even still what type of game are you playing that even comes close to overpowering a GeForce FX6800 ultra?

One card does the upper side of the screen. The other does the lower half. Not all games detect the architechure of SLi yet. Trust me.
