overclocking fsb

Hello, im trying to overclock my xp 2200+ but it doesnt seam to let me take the fsb fast 142 if i put it on 143 it just restarts everytime i boot windows i upped the vcore to 1.75 thats as much as it goes to and still does it is that all it will go to or is there something else i can do? thanks.

it would be beneficial to know the mobo/ram/set up of your system in order to give decent advice.

O yeh sorry about that i have a AMD XP 2200+ cpu stock headsink MSI-KT4ultra motherboard 512mb ddrram not shore what speed it is 60gig ibm hdd windows xp pro Lian li aluminiam case 2front 1rear 1top fan 400wat atx power supply geforce4 mx460 videocard.

Just bring it back down till it becomes stable. You say you upped the voltage to 1.7?....Isnt that the normal?...or do they use less voltage than the 1700+

I can only get it to go that high after that it goes onto AUTO and that crashes me around 41.

I checked the voltage for that cpu and it is 1.7 If the board is set to auto detect then thats what the voltage is going to go to for the cpu. Your motherboard might not allow you to change the Vcore yourself.
