i had to change my jumper on my aopen 77-333 before it would boot would like to know how to overclock my duron 1.2g processer and or ram and how to use the default setting for my mother board. I have 512m ddr pc2100 ram a radeon 9000pro gafix card and a aopen AK77-333 mother board.

Unless you unlock the multiplier on your Duron, you won't be able to overclock very much. It's based on 100mhz FSB & probably won't run at 1.6Ghz (12 x 133fsb). However, if you unlock it, you can lower your multiplier to say, 10x...which will put you at 1.33Ghz. You may even be able to get a little more out of it. If you don't unlock it, you'll have to experiment. Raise your FSB a little at a time. I'm running my 1.2 Duron (still locked at 12x) at 110fsb...that's the best I can do, probably because of either memory, PCI or AGP issues. But I've read that others have gotten their's to run up to 120. You may wanna consider getting an Athlon XP to get the most outta your system. Last time I looked, the XP 1700 was going for about $50...the XP 2100 for about $85...above that, the prices take a big jump.
