Ok i'll say this up front, I'm not experienced with overclocking. That said, here's my setup, I have a K7T Turbo2 motherboard and a 1.1Ghz AMD Duron. I was able to change the FSB in the BIOS from 100 to 115 and that brought me up to 1210 Mhz, it ended up crashing under heavy load though so I dropped the FSB to 110 and it's stable. I tried changing the Vcore settings and the clock ratio in the BIOS but most of the time the system won't post if I change those. What am I doing wrong? I've read on other posts that people got this processor to run stable around 1300 Mhz.
Also, I'm running a Radeon 9600, is it possible/worth it to overclock that? I've read that the 9600 is good for overclocking. (it's just a 9600 not the 9600 Pro)
Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

I don't think it's gonna happen on that motherboard. There is no way to lock the agp and pci bus and you're about at the best you can hope for. I have to run my Duron1300 at 106 X 13 on that motherboard max.

If you have the red K7T Turbo2 v.5.0 board it will handle a Tbred 2600+. It's one of the fastest SDRAM boards ever built.

Should see MS-6330 v5.0 by or between the pci slots.

You'd have to use the "pencil trick" to unlock the multipliers, otherwise, changing the setting will have no affect...right now, you're stuck with 11.0x.

Probably the best you're gonna get with your FSB would be about 110-112mhz, so your max clock speed will be about 1232mhz. At 112mhz, your PCI/AGP speeds would be 37.33/74.67mhz. PCI at 38mhz is right about the limit where you might experience problems. 115mhz FSB is just a bit too high (PCI/AGP = 38.33/76.67mhz)

I never unlocked my Duron 1200, but I've been running it at 1320mhz (110 FSB) for a LONG time & it's 100% stable. It'll run at 1344mhz (112 FSB), but not reliably...I experience an occasional lockup or blue screen, so I settled on 1320mhz.

What settings can I change and what will I gain on this processor by unlocking it doing the "pencil" trick. I've seen how to do it but I've never looked into how much I'd benefit by it.

Thanks for the input.

If you can get the Turbo2 to recognize 13x or 14x or 15x you can do the math. You're at 11x now. I've been trying with this board for 2 years and still haven't been able to obtain over 13x (default) with my Duron.

Good luck,
