Your link doesn't work but since you have a Compaq, you'll most likely have to overclock via software. Search for SoftFSB, CPUFSB or ClockGEN.

i have downloaded clockgen but befor i can do anything with it i need to put in my PLL?? I have been looking inside me pc for it but i cant seem to see it anywhere??

You will probably not want to overclock a laptop due to the heat and since you will have to use software and there is no way to lock the pci bus your safe max would be about a 150 fsb which yields a 1800mhz cpu. You will not really notice the improvement much except for heat.You say you are looking inside your pc but the link references a laptop so my info pertains to a laptop.

sorry yeh i mean laptop my bad. um but still i cant do that without my PLL?? i found out it is i think is a i943/940GML but its in none of the clocking programs
