Hi Guys! I wonder if you could help me. I have a NF7-s and barton 2500+. I've set the multiplier to 11x200 and the system works but only for 10 minutes. When the CPU temp comes to 50 degrees the whole thing freezes and i have to restart. So the problem is obviously overheating or can Barton go higher than 50 degrees without problems. Please write if you have any solutions!
Thanx

you should be okay over 50 degs - it might not be temp. My barton often got into the mid 50's.

What RAM do you have. Have you messed with voltages on either the ram or cpu?

how are you recording the temp?

50C is not overheating

Did you increase the CPU voltage? Not all 2500+ CPUs will run at 200MHz at the default voltage

Or does your mobo have overheating protection? If it does you need to set it to cut out at something like 70*C.

Either way 50*C is fine.

HI guys! thanx for all the replies! I didn't mess with voltage neither did i change ram settings. I have Geil Dual channel ddr (2x512). When the temp comes exactly to 50 degrees (mesured with abit eq utility) it freezees! If you think i should change some settings or voltage please let me know!

I can gei it up to 11x210 multiplier and the system boots up and works but only for a few minutes, until the cpu reaches around 50 degrees - then it's freezing time! I've updated the bios today but no change.
I give up since i don't know anything about messing with voltage so i'm running it at default 11x166!
