Hi
I was wondering if you could give me any tips or tricks to help me overclock my aformentioned CPU. I've so far managed to get it to 2.3ghz but i'm sure it will go further. My mobo is a Gigabyte GA-M55plus-S3G
Thanks

These settings are generic, your BIOS may be different:

Lower the RAM speed to DDR2-667, lower the HT multi to 4x (or 800MHz), lock the PCI-e at 100MHz, lock the PCI at 33MHz, disable ALL Spread Spectrum options, disable Cool 'n Quiet, raise the CPU freq to 250MHz.

Results: CPU at 2.5GHz, RAM at approx 417MHz (DDR2-834), HT bus at 1000MHz.

Hmm, I looked in my BIOS (and pressed ctrl-f1) but I can't seem to find an option to lock the pci bus OR an option to disable cool n' quiet..

Well is there any way to change these options not using the BIOS?

If they're not there, they're not there. A BIOS update *may* add more setting options, but I wouldn't bet on it.
