I wanted to know please how is it that i can oc this from bios or so i hear, what settings should be set in there? i'm sorry if the way i'm asking sounds absurd but i'm not aware of methods, also is there a way to know what is the max that the cpu can reach from 1.8 ghz, do you recommend oc or just get other processor? thank you for reading this.

It ain't gonna happen with that board. Try overclocking software...CPUFSB, SoftFSB, ClockGEN, etc. Maybe one of them will work.

Jam's right, take it from me mate, I have the same board and it aint even worth trying! I've tried all ways and any more than a minimal(pointless) fsb increase makes it crash/not boot.

yes i did try upping the FSB from the Bios and it did crash..wouldn't boot, somehow i dc the cord from the outlet and connected it and was able to boot back xp, i did not see if it had made any difference to the cpu speed, was scared of screwing something for good =/ so just entered the bios as soon as it booted and set the cpu frequency back to 100 mhz..although you could say that the pc did boot at the 135 mhz initially that was set..but i don't know it would of probably been unstable or so, thanks guys for your replies, i appreciated ^^...Abi

Your welcome! You may want to save for a new board as I am. This one was only a cheap replacement as my old gigabyte board messed up on me. If you want to O/C, you really need a board that can lock the pci bus.(i.e Nforce).
