Hi!
I am from Norway so try to ignore the spelling.I have an asus a7v333 motherboard and an amd xp 1900+ cpu. i overclocked it to 1.7 ghz in small steps. when i go higher i get a lot of bsod's. how can i fix this? my cpu temp is 65 celcius. I called the store where i bought the cpu and they told me that it is not dangerous before the temp is 80-90 celcius.
please help me!!!
Thank you in advance!
P.S. if you know about a cpu-fan that may cool better, let me know!

If you are planning to have your computer running under a load for exteded periods of time I wouldn't want my cpu over 60 deg. I am certainly hoping that you are talking about 65 deg. when it is under a full load. I am not possitive but I am pretty sure that the 65 deg. is the max temp AMD rates their 1900+ chip at. The newer ones such as the 2400, 2600, 2700 can go up until 85 before damage occurs, according to AMD.

PC2700 is rated for 166 MHz (333 DDR) so you've got a long way you can overclock before the memory holds you back. Most likely either the CPU/board or one or more expansion cards will hold you back before the memory in this case.
As for the H/S/F I would recomend the Coolermaster HAC-V81. This has a fan that can be adjusted for speed from the outside of the case, quite usefull. Make sure you use some thermal paste though. This makes a big difference in temperature compared to the thermal pad found on some heatsinks. Also try and have two case fans, one taking colder air from the ouside into the case and one at the front blowing hot air out the case. Just havign one case fan can lower your CPU temp by 5ºC and motherboard temp 3ºC.
I wouldn't overclock anymore till you have better cooling personally. Best the CPU under 60ºC. 45-50 full load is what you could achieve with a decent H/S/F with thermal paste and a couple of fans.

this is my cabinet.
what fans can i have in this one?
i did not find hac-v81. i used komplett.no and psdata.no! if some of you can tell me what fans i can have to get best cooling on that cabinet and this mainboard: asus a7v333.
thank you everyone!!

how can the power supply be a problem? and how can i have two fans? it is one fan in the powersupply that blows out varm air... any suggestions on what fans that would be great for performance and low in noise?
thank you in advance!
