Overclocking a Sempron is the same as overclocking an A64, but it would help to know what motherboard & RAM you have. Knowing the video card would be helpful too...no amount of overclocking will make up for a crappy card. And if your game states 2.4GHz, does it say whether that's a P4 2.4GHz? If it does, you've already got it beat with your 3400+.

Assuming you have an overclockable motherboard & DDR2-800 RAM, try this:

- increase CPU freq from 200MHz to 300MHz
- set the CPU multiplier to 8.0x
- lower the LDT multiplier from 4x (800MHz) to 3x (600MHz)
- lower the RAM setting from DDR2-800 (400MHz) to DDR2-533 (266MHz)
- lock the PCI-e at 100MHz
- lock the PCI at 33MHz
- disable Cool n Quiet
- disable ALL Spread Spectrum settings
- increase the CPU voltage at least 0.025v over default

Try this at your own risk...there are no guarantees. Hopefully you'll know how to recover if your system becomes unbootable.
