Hi i would like to overclock my cpu.
Its an AMD Athlon XP 1800+. I have 2 extra fans. My motherboard is a ECS (Elite group Computer Systems)K7S6A I also would like to clock my memory the modul name is Hyndai HYMD132 645A8-H the memory type is DDR SDRAM and the modulspeed is PC2100 (133Mhz)
And i also want to know how much heat it can take i have several monitor systems. What progs should i use to clock etc how do i do?

You're board isn't great for overclocking, & neither is your RAM. If you have the ability to raise the FSB in increments, just try raising the FSB 5 MHz at a time & test for stability after each change.

Im a real noob at this kind of thing so i have no idea what fsb needs and i realy would like some suggestions on what programs to use.

This may be useful to you - I noticed in Speedfan, you can select the ECS K7S6A from the list so you should have the ability to change the FSB in windows if the BIOS doesn't allow. Given that its an ECS board I'd imagine you won't have 1MHZ increments to increase the FSB, rather you may have large gaps between the settings such as from 133 to 146 to 166 and no inbetweens which makes it more difficult.

If you want to overclock via the BIOS and it doesn't allow Im pretty sure there are hacked BIOS' by cheepoman and honeyx that will unlock options.
