Hey Guys, I don't know jack about overclocking a computer and was wondering if you could point me in the direction of a good page that explains the process. I just got a new machine and was wondering if overclocking would be worth doing. Does it really make a significant difference in performance? I'm not a gamer, so that's not an issue. Here's my specs: Custom build AMD Athlon 64 3000+ processor Gigabyte GA-K8NS-939 Mobo Nvidia Nforce3 Ultra chipset Winchester 5939 core Radeon 9200 128 meg video card 512 megs ddr400 pc3200 RAM. "I'm not a gamer, so that's not an issue." personally, i don't encourage you to overclock your pc right now. especially you're not a gamer and this is your first attempt on overclocking.(that's too good a pc to be mingle with) most people overclock to achieve higher fps in games. i believe your pc is good enough to run most applications(except gaming) at max. speed. you won't notice much(if any) different by overclocking it. what about your old pc which you replaced with the current set? you should try out on it first to get a hand of it and when you're more confident, then should you consider overclocking this new built. anyway, if you still insist on overclocking, my last advise is to increase fsb or clock multiplier but not cpu voltage.
