hi
im going to overclock my system, but i felt the temp of my copper heatsink on my chipset and it is quite hot with no overclocking. i was wondering, will overcloking this computer make the chipset rise even more?

i have 6 case fans, and a watercooled cpu

Well, the answer to your question in yes.
Looking at your setup I am surprised that you say that your sys is "quite hot", a bit of an over kill on the fans ;) and with water cooling you should be on down side of average temps. If you feel you might have a problem with heat on O/Cing it might be a good idea first to sort out any cooling probs you might have, or think you have, with ref to your above comment. Fan placement, 6? of them, exhaust and intake, are they balanced and giving a good all round airflow, ambient temp, sys placement, is it clean, no dust bunnies, make sure cables don't block airflow. With water cooling you should be able to O/C without any real probs, just keep an eyes on all temps.Perhaps investing on a fan for your chipset would be a good idea, and then you will have 7fans. I really think with careful trial and error you could remove 2 of those fans without it really having a bad effect.
