I Overclocked my CPU system in Bios from:

166/33 (clock speed:2.08 ghz) >> 185/37 (clock speed:2.31 ghz) and Cpu Multiplier:12.5x and it's just fine but what's about if I go higher with the Multiplier? (12.5x >>>> ???)

My CPU fan now: 3970
CPU Temp: 58° (with side panel)
54° (without that)
I need a good Cooler I guess?

Depending on the manufacture date of your CPU, your multiplier may be locked...if it's not, try lowering the multiplier (maybe 10.5x for starters) & raising the FSB to 200/33...if your memory can handle it

Last night I overclocked the CPU Freq from:

185/37 >> 190/38 it's seems to be ok so I gone in my bed (1.34 am). This morning I 'd like start my PC and "SURPRISE" >>> "BIOS Error" "LOCKED": I can't modify the CPU Freq anymore so I restarted once again and it's ok on WINDOWS but no way to modify the CPU on BIOS! Know somebody why?

I reseted the BIOS and it's just fine again, "nice experience"!

So I'm trying again but now I gonna try the Multiplier too! I let you know about my BIOS experience. TO BE CONTINIOUS ...

I've tried to overclock the CPU Freq. to:

166/33 (12.5x) >> 174/35 (13.0x) >> 180/36 (13.0x) >> 183/37 (13.0x) >> 185/37 (13.0x) the last one wasn't possible! than I tried 185/37 (12.5x) and it's just fine!

TO BE CONTINIOUS ...

the trick is to LOWER the multiplier & raise the FSB. FSB is where the speed is...you wanna max out your FSB, then see if you can raise the multiplier...

A CPU at 11.5 x 200 (2300mhz) will out perform one at 13 x 180 (2340mhz), even though the overall clock speed is lower
