Reply: (edit)Most OEM systems run a deliberately crippled BIOS so that they can't be overclocked. Chances are you're gonna have to go the software route. http://www.overclock.net/showthread.php?p=271681

Reply: (edit)Clockgen may work, but your PC uses proprietary components, and your motherboard may not be detected by Clockgen. It's worth a shot however. I don't know much about your system, but you may not expect that high on an overclock without locked AGP/PCI busses. Good luck in overclocking. Reply: (edit)Thank, first I have to re-install xp because my boot screen doesn't show up, the operating system does but the xp splash boot screen doesn't. Also does zeroing your harddrive out increase your speed? Jim R

Reply: (edit)You will not have anything but an experience. If your HP is slow it is because of other issues. If it never was fast it never will be. If you really have a "amd 4200 x2/ 3 Gigs" and it is not fast enough it needs to go to the shop!

Reply: (edit)I just maxed it out, put 4 gigs of ram in there and now all I need is a graphics card, because the one on here sucks. I just want to be ready for vista when it comes out. Jim R

Reply: (edit)Well it is superfast It benchmarks pretty good and vista mininium is 2 gigs to run. I am sure that I beat the specs, all I need is a new graphics card. Jim R
