Comment: Hello...I have this crappy compaq computer with a celeron 2.4 CPU. and I know they are hard to overclock. But what CAN I overclock to make it any faster, and if there is a way...What do I do exactly to overclock? I know the "right" way to overclock is by going to your BIOS but I wouldn't know what to do from there My MoBo Is an ASUS P4G533-LA

Reply: (edit)Depends, What model is the compaq? what board does it have? If its a nonstandard board then probably not unless if you want to get into jumpers which is a bit messy at times.

Reply: (edit)Overclocking isn't gonna make much of a difference, but more RAM will, especially if you only have 256MB. ASUS A7N8X-X Athlon XP 1800+ 8.5 x 200MHz 1024MB PC3200 2.5-3-3-7 Asus A9550GE/TD 128MB WinME/WinXP Pro SP1

Reply: (edit)Ditch the Celeron and get a REAL Pentium 4. And I'll bet your memory usage rarely reaches much over 512MB if at all. Rule #1 Good computers don't go down. Rule #2 There is no such thing as a good computer.
