I have a amd 64 2800+ processor which is currently running at 1.8 ghz (because its dual? I'm a little new) and i would like to know if it is simply underclocked or if it is a normal setup.
I have a gigabyte k8ns Pro motherboard with 1.5 ghz of ram.

There's a few different revisions of the A64 2800+ but they all run at 1.8GHz (9 x 200MHz). Here's one of them:

You've got a decent board for overclocking...you *should* be able to hit 2250MHz (9 x 250MHz).
