Hi everybody.
I have a Sis 630 Chipset MOBO M755, and have a 800/128/100/1.75V Celeron. Mi question is What Changes could I do to speed up my computer.
Just change up the multiplier??? or change from 100 to 133 Mhz on FSB?? what about the voltage ??
I'm new in overclocking stuff. I've read some overclocking tutorials, but still afraid of burn it up.
Just need some clues...

Hi again!!!

Thanks Spliff.
I have been surfing on the web a little and have found some information about my topic (For those who have the same problem, quite dificult due to the fact that this is an old processor).
First, this one is clock blocked so you can't change the procesor multiplier (some pages say that, in my mobo I can do it and seems to work fine). Solution, you have to change the speed of the FSB. Say 133Mhz (to get 1056Mhz).
It is said that you can even change the speed to 150mhz (to get 2000Mhz). The limitation is heat, cause you have to change the voltage up (mine works at default 1.75v) a little each time (test and error, say 1.8, 1.85, look for an overclock tutorial for detailed information).
You can get some crashes or hangs doing changes, can try moving up voltage (change your cpu FAN or even the cooling system if want to get 1200Mhz).
40 celcius or less is excelent. More than 50 celcius is dangerous or can cause instability.
Another frecuent problem is on AGP bus, some games hang or have unexpected behavior so you have to sacrify some of your AGP speed, slowing down it...
If you have memory trouble and you BIOS alows you to make changes in memory parameters (another overclocking matter is a good BIOS with enough options) you van try with speed or voltage too.
It seems a hard work to do... but somebody have to get more performance.
Right now I'm on 133Mhz, my BIOS doesn't permit to go farther :(, not even the newest one, fortunately I didn't practicaly any change, so I'm happy.
There's of course a bunch of information anywere so, good look, and get fun...

Forget my bad english...
