how to overclock a p4 1.9ghz computer??i have on case fan at the bak ventalating the air out...and the idle temps for processor r around 34c and i wana overclock my p4 1.9 plz tell me.

i wud just like to overclock it until 2.2ghz and see how the temps are if they are good i might go for 2.6ghz.

Around 2.1-2.2Ghz would be your max. Seems like you have the oldest Pentium 4 Willamatte core toped out at 2.0Ghz. You might able to squeeze out another 100-300Mhz or so. Don't hope too much out of it because its based on 0.18 micron. For the safest overclock. Try out something like this.
Oringinal clock speed = 100Mhz x 19 = 1900
Then try maybe 5 - 10Mhz increasement on Front side bus... Thus...105x19=1995Mhz If it works and stable, try
110x19=2090Mhz If it works, keep going
115x19=2185Mhz If it works, keep going
120x19=2280Mhz If it doesn't go any further, increase your CPU voltage by 0.1v-0.2v, but don't go over 0.2V. The most possible and safest setting would be the 110Mhz x 19 = 2090Mhz. It should work with 0.1V CPU voltage increasement. Remember not to rush from 100Mhz FSB and try 133Mhz FSB. Overclocking doesn't work that way. You have to do it step by step, or else you will short out your CPU. 2.6Ghz will not be possible. You will be really lucky if you can get it up to 2.4Ghz. 2.6Ghz will be no go.

If your Pentium 4 has 256k L2 cache, then its 1.7v
If your Pentium 4 has 512k L2 cache, then its 1.5v
