Hey, trying to overclock my cpu/ram here.

I currently have an Asus A8V-E Deluxe for my mobo. I know how to overclock my CPU using the bios, but i'm not entirely sure how to overclock the RAM using the bios.

I'm running on an AMD64 3000+, attempting to o/c it to 2.2Ghz from 1.8Ghz. Setting it to 250Mhz x x9HT. Also the 250MHz x 4 for the 1000Mhz.

As for the ram.. if possible, trying to run them from 200MHz to possibly 210MHz or 215MHz.

The latency ratings for the Crucial Ballistix is 2-2-2-6, i believe.

Can someone help me out here?

When you overclock the CPU the RAM goes up with it. Download CPU-Z here: http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z...

When setting the CPU freq to 250MHz, set the RAM to DDR333...that way, it will overclock along with the CPU (as pgckkwvdzm said). The RAM speed *should* end up being roughly 208MHz.

yeah.. i was reading about someone else having the same cpu as me, overclocking it to 250mhz.

I don't think they specified ram speed though.. and it was a little confusing with the a8v-e deluxe mother board.

"When setting the CPU freq to 250MHz, set the RAM to DDR333...that way, it will overclock along with the CPU (as pgckkwvdzm said). The RAM speed *should* end up being roughly 208MHz."

So by setting the max memclock or something.. can't remember, to DDR333, it should overclock at 208mhz? hmm... could someone explain the math to me? still seems quite confusing.

ok, i managed to overclock my cpu to 256Mhz, setting the ram to ddr333, therefore getting a ram speed of 209Mhz. Thanks guys.
