Comment: I used Ati Tool to overclock my Sapphire Radeon 9550 and now it is Core 435 MHz Mem 273 MHz and it works much better than before :)) Can anybody tell me is that safe or I should decrease core frequency? I run on overclocked frequences only when I play games, otherwise I use standart.

Reply: (edit)Not bad! I don't push my 9550 near that far. If you're concerned, try experimenting with the clock settings & running benchtests after each change...see if you can find a happy medium, but as long as it appears stable & you don't run the O/c'd settings all the time, you're probably OK as-is. Reply: (edit)When I run Ati Tool it even goes up to 460 MHz without problem but I'm not risking to leave it at such high freq. Memory above 283 MHz starts giving artifacts and I decided to leave it about 10 MHz below. If I was able to monitor temp I would probably leave core on 450 if it is not generating much heat but I don't know how high the temperature is.So my videocard isn't overclocked all the time only when I play games. And I'm pleased with this as it adds 7-8 maybe more frames :) Asus A7V600-KT600-X AMD Sempron 2500+ 1.75GHz 3x256 DDR 400 V-data Sapphire Radeon 9550 80Gb Seagate DVD-Rom LG GSA Win XP Professional SP2

Reply: (edit)nice increase, I like ATI tool, I used it all the time when I had my 9800se card. Try runng "FRAPS" benchmark to create a log of your average FPS before and after your overclock. Reply: (edit)Good overclock. As long as it doesn't produce weird graphical glitches during gameplay, it'll be fine. FX-57 @ 3.1ghz 4GB of OCZ PC-4200 500GBx4 drive array Sapphire X850 XT-PE Fujitsu 1920x1080 projector
