Reply: (edit)Did you bother to using the search feature? Lock the PCI-e at 100MHz, disable all Spread Spectrum settings, raise the CPU frequency from 200Mhz to 250MHz, lower the HT multi (LDT) from 5x (1000MHz) to 4x (800MHz), lower the RAM setting from 800MHz (or Auto) to 667MHz. Be prepared to raise the CPU voltage if the system is unstable. Your 400W PSU *may* be inadequate for your system...it depends on the brand & the amperage rating of the +12v rail(s). And the 8400GS was a poor choice, especially for gaming.

Reply: (edit)"I wasn't gonna use the system for gaming" It doesn't matter. The PSU is still *possibly* inadequate. And if it's one that was prepackaged with the case, it's even more likely...unless you paid $100 or more for the case/PSU combo?
