Hey, Smoeone told me that when you overclock your CPU by uping the FSB it also increases your ram speed so if I am running PC2100 and i overclock the CPU then the memory speed should go up to more than PC 2100. Is this true. If not, than how can I overclock just the memory speed. I have a mobo that is pretty solid in overclocking features and please tell me the setting that should be in the BIOS for me to change to increase my memory speed?????????? Thanks for all your help in advance. And please answer.

The only way to overclock your memory is to increase its mhz and the only way to do that is if your mobo actually allows for faster memory like 2700 or 3200 which means it needs to have a faster bus that says like 400mhz(PC3200) or 333mhz(PC2700) so if it can do that you could overclock your memory but be carefull you might fry your memory

some mobos like mine have a cpu : memory frequency ratio setting. You can set the ram to a higher ratio than the cpu ratio to make the ram speed more than the cpu FSB.
Also, you should check the CAS latency settings in your bios, setting them to a lower value will increase performance.
