Subject: Overclock CPU ߁} Video CardOS: Win XP Pro / SP1CPU/Ram: Pentium 4 2.8 GHz / 1 GB |
Comment: I've assembled a PC several months ago with basically the following specs: MSI 845E - Max Motherboard Pentium IV 2.8 GHz Processor @ 533 MHz FSB 1 GB PC2700 DDR Memory Asylum NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Video Card w 128 MB DDR Memory W.D. 80 GB ATA 100 Hard Drive The CPU seems extremely good and stable overclocked at 10%, without any discernible heat problems. I realize that over the long haul I may be affecting (shortening) the life of the processor, however, my question is am I also affecting (shortening) the life of the video card? Thanks for your input. Sandor

Reply: (edit) If your agp frequency is locked on 66 MHz then raising the fsb does not affect the gpu.
