Comment: When I overclock this video cards core even 1 MHZ and apply the changes it freezes the system instantly. It doesn't matter what program I use to overclock it. I can however overclock the memory with no problem but is there any benefit to this if the core is not overclocked? Do I need to change a setting in bios to allow me to overclock core? I've read others testimony on thier overclocking results so I believe it can be done with this card.

Reply: (edit)So you baught this card and the model is "BFG 6200 OC" If it is a 6200 OC it has already been overclocked by BFG. You might be able to get some more out of the memory which will give you a small graphics boost. Why would you spend money on a low end card to overclock it? They are always gonna be low end. Money would hve been better spent on a 9600XT, 9800, or 6600GT although the 6600GT may be overkill for a celeron. You might be able to get the memory to 500Mhz, you should get at least 450Mhz from the memory. I have a FX5500SE and its stock speeds were 200Mhz core and 400Mhz Memory. Its now going 350Mhz core and 500Mhz Memory, core got as hight as 370Mhz without doing any major stuff ups but is stable at 350Mhz. So you should get 500Mhz from your memory. Reply: (edit)Joe is right. I was trying to squeeze out just a little more. I bought this card because it was a great price and for a low end card, I must tell you, it is pretty impressive. But I have been eyeing the 6600gt and found one for only $20 more, so I will be exchanging :) Thanks for the input and Joe look for my future post on how to overclock 6600gt!
