Could i overclock my AMD Sempron Socket 754 3000+ on my original stock fan. if so how far. THANKS
You should have no problem with the stock fan. It's the motherboard & RAM that you need to be concerned about. Do you have DDR400 & a motherboard with overclocking features? If so, you *should* be able to crank it up to 2.25GHz.

I have 1 stick of 128mb ddr333 and 1 stick of 256mb ddr 266. My motherboard is a Nforce3-A. Thanks for the respons. The only motherboard i have ever overclocked was an old asus p3?
You have a good enough motherboard, but you're not gonna be able to overclock with that RAM. The DDR266 is killing performance as it is, not to mention that you only have a total of 384MB. Overclocking isn't gonna help...you need DDR400 RAM & you should really have a minmum of 512MB.

The FX5500 is pretty weak by today's standards, but anything's an improvement over what you have...lol.
There are ways to buy stuff online without a credit card. Some sites accept checks or money orders, or you may be able to use a pre-paid debit/mastercard. You'd have to look at the website's policy.
I'm not a big fan of TigerDirect, but look at what you can get for $50:
